A day in the life of an Operations Director

The Operations Director is accountable for the cross functional Operations teams, at HQ and operational locations. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of operations to include safety, quality, cost, business performance, budgets, facilities, capital planning and execution, environmental performance, overall program collaboration, and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

The Operations Director will be accountable for setting the sites operations plans, developing and maintaining productive relationships with all interested parties, customers, employees, and unions, communicating clear expectations and achieving goals.

What will make you successful?

To be successful for the role you will:

• Have demonstrable previous experience of managing business operations, managing customer and supply chain, delivering financial results in terms of sales, operating profit and cash
• Understand workplace safety regulations, be able to manage risk in business operations and drive quality improvement
• Be able to create and lead diverse high performing teams, role model leadership competencies while coaching and developing talent
• Champion digital transformation projects designed to increase efficiency and productivity, increasing customer value and accelerating key results
